Roadmap to a 100 Year Heart

In order for children to adopt a healthy lifestyle, we must first teach them what it means to be healthy. Roadmap to a 100 Year Heart is intended to show students the healthy route they can take in their daily lives.  This nine-month educational series teaches students the WHY and HOW to have a healthy lifestyle.

The Roadmap program is comprised of nine lessons delivered monthly in the classroom to 2nd and 4th grade students.  Each lesson builds upon material from the previous instruction; teachers are left with supplemental information, and material is delivered to parents as well. Students receive a health journal so they can follow along with our lessons and keep track of their progress, and are treated to a healthy snack with each lesson.  With consistent exposure to what makes up a healthy lifestyle, as well as introduction to new concepts and foods, students will have the tools to make healthy choices, and teachers and parents alike will begin to see a positive difference in the students who participate.
